It is an age old question that as spawned many books but even today we mere men still have problems trying to figure it out. The most important thing is to be yourself. Honesty is the best policy and if you try and be someone you are not then sooner or later you will stuff up. If you are pretending to be someone else and the girl likes your alter ego then when she finds out who you really are then its bye bye. Now if you are just looking for a night of quick fun then you probably don’t care what she really thinks of you, but if you are looking for something more lasting then you really have to start off on the right foot and build a solid foundation of honesty.

How to get a girl to like you – Tip 2.

Being confident is the thing that most girls will tell you is the sexiest part of a man. Confidence should not be confused with arrogance or ignorance as those are not qualities that girls find attractive at all. Walk with purpose and look girls in the eyes. Say hello to girls and smile when you do. You do not have to look like an Adonis if you show some confidence. Be confident in your abilities and if you are shy, just think about the things you are good at. Man men find it hard to talk to girls and believe it or not girls actually know that. One of the most obvious things is to dress properly and smell nice. Make sure your clothes are clean and ironed and fit properly. Even if you are carrying a little bit of extra weight if your clothes fit nicely you can hide that. We all love to wear our comfy shoes and old T-shirts, but if you are on the prowl then you will need some nice clothes in your wardrobe for the hunt.

Girls love men who smell nice. Put on some nice deodorant and cologne and you will see the girls physically turn their heads as you walk past to see who was wearing that great smell. Obviously you don’t want to go overboard and stink the whole place up but a nice strong smell is a sure way to get a girl to like you.

Be nice and show some respect. Girls love it when a guy obviously has some manners and shows respect to himself and those around him. Open the door for people, particularly girls and watch their reaction. Say thank you and please and great people with enthusiasm. Once again you don’t have to be the best looking guy on the planet to be considered a nice guy and girls love it when guys are polite. You don’t have to be a nancy boy, but show your manners with confidence and girls will eat out of your hands.

Ok so you have seen the girl you like and you have broken the ice but how do you get a girl to like you?  In this article I will give you a few of my favourite tips that always work for me.

How do you get a girl to like you – Tip 1.  Talk to her.

As obvious as that might seem, many guys just go to water when they meet a girl they like.  They become dry in the mouth and their brain goes all mushy.  You need to get over that and try and relax.  See the girl as a potential friend and if need be have some things to talk about well before you even meet her.  Find out what topics are current for girls and do a little research if you need be. Then sit down and talk to her. Ask her questions about herself and you will be on a winner straight away.  Girls love to talk about themselves and their friends so be prepared to expand on whatever she is telling you.  And make sure you actually listen to what she is saying and show interest.

How do you get a girl to like you – Tip 2.  Compliment her.

When you compliment a girl you don’t just come out and say something that is obviously stupid.  If she has nice curly hair then tell her you love her hair.  Tell her you love her dress or her shoes or her jewellery but telling her she has really nice breasts will probably not go down very well.  If you can’t find something that has attracted you to her, without that being of a sexual nature then you will need to think outside of the box.  Her clothing or her perfume might be something you can compliment her on.

Ask any girl what she finds attractive in men and one of the first things a girl will tell you is that she likes a guy with a sense of humour.  Try to relax and use your natural sense of humour during your conversation.  Tell her a silly joke but whatever you do, in the early stages at least, stay away from racist, sexist or inappropriate jokes.  Make light of the situation you are in and tell her that you are really struggling to think when you are talking to her.  Make light of your awkwardness and use that as a compliment as well.  Ask for her favourite pick up line and tell her the worst one you have ever used.  Before you tell her your worst line, tell her upfront that you find it embarrassing and ask her not to laugh too much. Hopefully she will laugh and you can have a laugh together.

No one likes a stick in the mud or someone who is always complaining.  Try to find the good in everything and don’t put people down.  Sooner or later that conversation will come back to you and if you have said or done the wrong thing, then sure enough, that girl you picked out is going to hear about it and you will look like a fool.  It doesn’t matter what other people are saying, just try to point out the positive points of something.  If people are complaining about the weather, talk about how nice it is to cuddle up in front of an open fire on a cold rainy night, or if the weather is too hot, tell her about how romantic it is to sit on the beach at midnight with a cool glass of wine and feeling the sea breeze blowing across your face.  You can turn anything into a positive.
